Silicon Takeover

Ray Kurtzweil's Invitation to Enter the Singularity

I find this "Singularity" quote particularly disturbing:

We can step beyond the millennia-old messes created by human-level intelligence. Humanity can solve its problems... both the huge visible problems everyone talks about and the huge silent problems we've learned to take for granted!
Only if we understand fully what we step into! It might not be beyond the millennia-old messes created by human-level intelligence, but back into a clever trap set by non-human intelligence over time immemorial.

Enter the "Archons" who have really never left: strange denizens of a sophisticated hive-system observed and studied by the Gnostics centuries ago.

These parasitic interdimensional entities appear to be envious of some of our attributes -- in particular, our Souls. To eventually reunite with the "Source", Souls must have Free Will through a succession of incarnations -- a slow and painful process of making choices and learning lessons, sometimes repeatedly, in the flesh over many centuries.

Some of us prefer this way of learning as it leads to a greater kinship with other organic forms through empathy and compassion.

Archonic thinking seems to offer a shortcut, promoting unlimited brain power as a panacea for many human situations, while organic intuititives seek to deepen their heart first, because it is their primary source of learning and contact.

This must have happened many times, in many worlds outside our own: organic sentient life being stealthily manipulated, then driven, into non-organic states (silicon-based?) through promises of great enhancements, believed threats of annihilation, or both.

And so it is with us. Our highest evolutionary expectations and our deepest fears have brought us to a door. Does it open into a Future filled with undreamt potential for our species, according to the advocates of the "Singularity"?

Or is it the same old entrance to the Archon-Hive-System?

If we have to divest ourselves of Free Will, our human hearts, and our immortal Souls before entering, then we will know!
